Style Utopia: Society+

I’m teaming up with Society+ to bring you this week’s #TripleSlayFashion series.Beauty- Grace-Freedom… What if your outfit embodied these 3 elements? I am here to tell you that you can and will achieve this by loving and knowimg your body/style. Beautiful, graceful, and free is everything I felt in my Society+Twirl Maxi Skirt. I think I’ve found my style utopia!

Style Utopia… What a wonderful notion! My dream is for every woman in the world to have the opportunity to achieve style utopia. While I know we come in different sizes, shapes, and style aspirations/outcomes; I want ALL women to feel confident, beautiful, stylish, graceful, sexy, free, bold, [insert your wish] in their favorite outfit without internal or external judgment. I achieved style utopia in my Society+ Twirl Maxi Skirt! Here’s why I feel the sense of beauty, grace, and freedom:

Beauty, Grace, Freedom

Beauty: Let’s take a second to recognize the beauty in this skirt’s print. You already know I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE bold prints and colors. The Society+ Twirl Maxi Skirt did not disappoint and it’s simply gorgeous. The hues of sunrise yellow, charcoal grey, and dove grey floats across the free fall pleats in the skirt.  The print is a bold and spontaneous collection of flowers, leaves, polka dots, curves and edges.

Grace: The maxi skirt is one of my favorite skirt silhouettes. A maxi skirt gives you instant style and grace (insert B.I.G. lyrics); I think of it as effortless style. Wearing my Society+ Twirl Maxi Skirt I truly felt like I was floating across the pavement. The material is so flowy, light, and airy. How can you not feel graceful when you feel like you are floating? How can you not feel graceful in a skirt that has TWIRL in the name?!?!

Freedom: In a world where we are bombarded with consistent messages to wear spanx, waist trainers, and wraps, it felt soooo good to go shapewear-free. This is why I love a maxi skirt; it’s an inclusive garment no matter your shape or size.

For this look I wanted to exude effortless beauty. As you know, my favorite body feature is my collar bone. I am so excited about this year’s summer trend: off-the- shoulder/exposed collar bones, as think exposed collar bones are stunning! I wanted to mimic the flow of my maxi skirt with the ruffles in my off-the-shoulder top (actually a bodysuit). My grey ruffle top matched the dove grey in my skirt perfectly. I kept accessories simple and minimal.

The creative direction behind this look was inspired by the beauty, grace, and freedom of birds. I loved how my grey off-the-shoulder ruffle top blew in the wind like a set of wings.
