Spring, is that you?! If you are like most people, then you are feeling completly over winter and ready to embrace everything that spring has to offer, such as bright colors, warmer weather, flowers, festivals, outdoor activities, and allergies. Ok maybe not allergies, but you get the point! You should know that my favorite season is actually fall. Therefore, I am a little bummed that I have to start packing up my boots and scarves. In this look, I will show you how you can transition  a”fall/winter favorite” into a “spring staple”!

As you know from my previous Thick Thighs & Thigh Highs post I’m obsessed with my Eloquii boots. So, I thought to myself why do I have to give them up? The great thing about your staple pieces of clothing is you can transition them from season to season. With that being said, I am not telling you to wear thigh high boots in the summer lol!

As we approach spring there will be some chilly nights. I thought the perfect transition look for my boots would be to pair them with a vibrant teal blazer and mustard side knot high-low dress. I’m deeply in love with the color blocking trend. I went with a jewel tone color block concept. Jewel tone hues include emerald green, amethyst purple, ruby red, topaz yellow, sapphire blue, tourmaline green, and turquoise blue. Here’s a great article that provides some great pointers on creating a color block look.

The creative direction behind this look was inspired by the hit TV show Black-ish. The costume design concepts are ahhhmazing ! Take a look at what I mean:

This look was my favorite, probably because of the dress. Thanks for sharing. I definitely know the struggle of finding a great boot for a thicker leg. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to seeing what else you put together.
